eLearning

Situation: As an avid baker, I love using fresh ingredient in my recipes. I wanted to create an interactive cookbook of some of my favorite seasonal crops and recipes I've tried and loved.

Task: Once I decided on the few seasonal crops I not only love to cook with, but also love to visit orchards and farms to locally pick, I began reviewing some of my favorite bakes.

Action: Wanting to keep this cookbook lighthearted and fun, I created branching scenarios that showcased the seasons the crops were best as well as simply but delicious recipes.

Result: As you can see, this is a fun way to showcase so many of the capabilities in Articulate Storyline. From layers to buttons to branching and more, I loved thinking of creative ways to showcase recipes rather than just a simple cookbook!

Client: Kait Hamilton State Farm of Santa Barbara

Situation: This client was in need of a refresher course for employees returning to in-office work as well as an introductory course for new hires.

Task: She wanted to me to create a quick and accessible eLearning course that would alleviate any confusion about how employees should behave and interact while working in their office.

Action: Utilizing a quick needs assessment we discussed that a microlearning course would work best for the content she wanted to present to her employees. I used 7taps to breakdown the criteria for a successful office environment.

Result: The client reported that negative office behaviors decreased significantly and saw a positive increase in the office's climate and culture.

Client: Deluxe

Situation: After consulting with our Scripting department over the need to turn previous training documents and materials into an interactive eLearning program, the course group 'Annotations' was selected as it was identified as a concept and skill that most new editors struggled with,

Task: Once reviewing the Annotations training materials, a course outline was developed. SMEs and stakeholders wanted videos embedded, interactive knowledge checks and examples of how annotations can be effectively written.

Action: Utilizing previous documents, I began identifying learning objectives and KPIs needed to adequately pass the course and showcase a skill had been achieved. I set up bi-weekly syncs with the SME to go over new interactions, types of knowledge checks and video examples utilized to showcase various concepts.

Result: The Scripting department was blown away with what can be created out of a simple training document and it truly showcased so many possibilities that Storyline can achieve. While the course was only recently launched, the current feedback is definitely promising!
